environmentYou can configure the
CylanceGATEWAY Connector
's network interface to use DHCP or configure a static IP only when you install the CylanceGATEWAY Connector
. If you want to make changes to the configuration, you must uninstall and then install the CylanceGATEWAY Connector
with the new network interface configuration.Make sure you have permissions to deploy an OVF template into an
ESXi
environment.- Download theCylanceGATEWAY ConnectorOVA file (cylance-gateway-connector-<version>.ova) from.myAccount
- Log in to theESXienvironment.
- In theNavigatorpanel, selectVirtual Machines.
- Click theCreate/Register VMbutton
- On theNew Virtual Machinescreen, selectDeploy a virtual machine from an OVF or OVA fileand clickNext.
- Type a name for the virtual machine
- Navigate to the cylance-gateway-connector-<version>.ova file. Drag and drop the file in the dialog box.
- ClickNext.
- On theSelect storagescreen, selectStandardand a datastore, then clickNext.
- On theDeployment optionsscreen, forDisk provisioning, selectThin.
- On theAdditional settingsscreen, expand Options to specify additional VMWare properties (optional).IP addresses must be entered as IPv4 addresses in dot-decimal notation.
- By default, theUse DHCPis enabled and the connector uses automatically assigned IP addresses. If you want to configure the connector with a static IP address, you must clear the Use DHCP check box and provide the IP addresses for the following settings:
- In theIP address / Prefix Lengthfield, specify the IP address and prefix that can be assigned to devices (for example, 192.0.2.100/24). To use multiple IP addresses, separate the IP addresses with a comma (,).
- In theGatewayfield, enter the address for the network gateway (for example, 192.0.2.1)
- In theDNSfield, specify the IP address for the DNS servers that you want to use (for example, 192.0.2.120). To use multiple DNS servers, separate the addresses with a comma (,).
- ClickNext.
- On theReady to completescreen, review the configuration settings and clickFinish.
After you install the connector, you can verify that the OVA file is installed correctly in the virtual environment. For instructions, see Configure the CylanceGATEWAY Connector in the VM environment.
