Update the
Microsoft Entra ID
Active Directory
connection credentials

You must update the client credentials in the management console when your client secret has expired or has been changed in the Azure portal. If your client secret has expired or has been changed, the Directory connections screen displays an The Warning icon beside the directory connection that is affected. You can choose to update only the client secret, or you can update both the client ID and the client secret.
  1. In the management console, on the menu bar, click
    Settings > Directory Connections
    .
  2. Click the
    Microsoft Entra ID
    Active Directory
    connection that you want to update.
  3. Click the
    Connections Settings
    tab.
  4. Click
    Update client credentials
    . Choose to update only the client secret, or update both the client ID and the client secret. Complete one of the following:
    • Update client secret only: Enter the client secret value that you recorded in the Azure portal.
    • Update client ID and client secret: Enter the new client ID and client secret value that you recorded in the Azure portal.
  5. Click
    Submit
    .
  6. Click
    Save
    . If the save fails, both the client ID and the client secret will revert to the previous values.
