Install the macOS agent

agentThe installation files for the
CylancePROTECT Desktop
macOS
agent must be downloaded from the Cylance
cloud console. They are not available from the CylanceON-PREM
console. You must also modify the installation parameters to specify the details of your CylanceON-PREM
console so that the agent connects to it. - Download theCylancePROTECT Desktopinstallation files from theCylancecloud console. ClickSettings > Deployments. From theProductdrop-down list, selectCylancePROTECT, and set the target operating system, the agent version, and the file type. ClickDownload.
- Modify installation parameters to specify the details of yourCylanceON-PREMconsole. For more information about each of the parameters, including examples of installation commands, see macOS installation parameters.
- In theCylanceON-PREMconsole, copy the installation token fromSettings > Application.
- Double-click theCylancePROTECT Desktopinstallation file (.dmg or .pkg) to mount the installer.
- Double-click
from the CylancePROTECT Desktopuser interface to begin the installation. - ClickContinueto verify that the OS and hardware meet the requirements.
- ClickContinue.
- Type the installation token.
- ClickContinue.
- Optionally, change the installation location.
- ClickInstall.
- Type your credentials.
- ClickInstall Software.
- On the summary screen, clickClose.
- ClickOK > Finish.
- If you are installingCylancePROTECT Desktopon macOS Catalina, a notification prompts you to allow CylanceUI to display notifications. ClickAllow.
