Add recipients to a sent file
Adding recipients to a sent file is a way to share files with new recipients in addition to your existing recipients. This action is useful when you want to add new members to an existing collaboration group on a specific item.
- From the navigation pane, clickSent items.
- From the content area, select the file you want to forward in the sent items list.
- In the action toolbar, click .
- In the action toolbar, click
- Enter the name, email address, or distribution list for each recipient.
- To set the file permissions, expiration, watermark settings and to include annotations, clickSettings.
- If you want to share your annotations with the file, selectInclude annotations.
- In thePermissionlist, edit the permission for the selected file, as desired: For more information see Permissions.
- In theFile expirationlist, set the time when the file will no longer be accessible by the recipients. Select a specific date, a time period from the list, or never.If you selectSpecific date, click and choose the desired date from the calendar.
- In theWatermarklist, set whether workspace PDF files are displayed with a watermark.Watermarks are not displayed on workspaceMicrosoft Officefiles, even when PDFs are set to display them.
- In theCommentinglist, selectOnto enable recipients to comment on the file.
- In theAllow access tolist, select who can access the file (Recipients only,Anyone within recipients' domain, orEveryone).
- ClickDone.
- If desired, change the subject of the notification email.
- If desired, add a personal message.
- If you do not want to notify anyone that you are sending a file, clear theNotify recipientscheckbox. This is useful when you want to send yourself a file to continue working on it later.
- ClickSend.Your file(s) are sent, and you can access them from yourSent filesarea in the navigation menu from every screen. The recipient receives a notification or email message with a link to the file.
