Customize the slideboard
With slideboard, you can slide the keyboard left or right to access quick phrases and
the number pad. You can customize the quick phrases, or swap the position of the quick
phrases and the number pad.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
- Tap >Language & input.
- TapBlackBerry Keyboard SettingsorKeyboard Settings>BlackBerry Keyboard Settings.
- TapKeyboard extensions.
- Do one of the following:
- To edit a quick phrase, tap a phrase. Type a new phrase and tapOK.
- To swap the location of the number pad and quick phrases, tapAccess the number padorAccess quick phrases. Tap an option.
Customize the slideboard number pad
You can change the number pad layout,
and you can add symbols, emojis, or special characters to the slideboard number
pad.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
- Tap >Language & input.
- TapBlackBerry Keyboard SettingsorKeyboard Settings>BlackBerry Keyboard Settings.
- TapKeyboard extensions.
- TapSlideboard options.
- Touch and hold a symbol, emoji, or special character and drag it to the desired place on the number pad.
- To see more items you can add, at the top of the screen, tap a category. To see more categories, swipe to the left.
- To add a symbol using a Unicode value, tap theCustomcategory. Tap . Type a value. TapAdd.
To change the number pad back to the
original layout, tap >
Reset to default layout
. To
remove all items from the number pad, tap Clear the
number pad
.Turn off the slideboard

To access the slideboard settings quickly, slide
the keyboard left or right, and tap at the top of the keyboard.
