Lock a file

Do one of the following:
  • In 
    Windows Explorer
    , right-click the file that you want to lock, and select 
    Workspaces
    Lock
    . To release the file: right-click the file and select 
    Workspaces
    Unlock
  • If you are working on a 
    Microsoft Office
     file, locate the 
    Workspaces
     ribbon in the
    Home
    tab and click 
    Lock file
    .
The file is locked for 24 hours, and during that time can only be unlocked by you or a workspace administrator. After that time, the lock is automatically removed.
