Open a shared file
Open files shared with you via
BlackBerry Workspaces
. Shared files can be
opened by accessing the link in the notification email. Shared files also appear in your
Received Files.Opening a file in
BlackBerry Workspaces
can depend on the organization from where the file originates:- If the file was shared from the organization to which you are currently signed in to, you can tap the shared link to the file in the email, and it opens withinBlackBerry Workspacesapp foriOS.
- If the file was shared from an organization other than the one to which you are currently signed in, you are prompted to sign in or switch to the organization where the file you are opening is located. If you do not have aBlackBerry Workspacesaccount with that organization, you can create an account. TapCreate accounton the sign in screen.If you need to switch organizations to view a file, the switch means that your workspaces and sent and received files are switched to those of the second account. For more information, see Switch accounts.
- If the shared file was forwarded to you, you may need to request permissions to access the file. Follow the on-screen prompts to do so.
If a file was shared with
Permissions
set to Spotlight view
,
you can only view the file using BlackBerry Workspaces
Web Application. To open a shared file:
- Do one of the following:
- On your device, tap the link to the shared file in the email.
- In Received Files, tap the file.
The file opens inBlackBerry Workspacesapp foriOS.
