Approve or block an IP address
You can add an IP address or a range of IP addresses to the approved IP addresses list if you want the servers at those addresses to be considered safe. You can add IP addresses to the restricted IP addresses list to prevent users from accessing servers at those addresses. If an IP address is on both lists, the approved list takes precedence.
- In the management console, on the menu bar, clickSettings > CylancePROTECT > CylancePROTECT browsing and scanning.
- Click .
- Do any of the following:TaskStepsApprove an IP address
- On theApprovedtab, underApproved IP addresses, click+.
- In theStartfield, type the IP address.
- In theEndfield, type the end IP address if you want to extend it to a range of IP addresses. If you want to approve a specific IP address only, leave this field blank.
- In theDescriptionfield, type a description.
- Repeat the previous steps to add additional IP addresses.
Block an IP address- On theRestrictedtab, underRestricted IP addresses, click+.
- In theStartfield, type the IP address.
- In theEndfield, type the end IP address if you want to extend it to a range of IP addresses. If you want to restrict a specific IP address only, leave this field blank.
- In theDescriptionfield, type a description.
- Repeat the previous steps to add additional IP addresses.
- ClickSave.
