Enable and configure text message scanning

To enable SMS/MMS text message scanning for
iOS
devices, you must turn on the feature in a
CylancePROTECT
profile and assign it to users and groups. For
Android
devices, SMS/MMS text message scanning is enabled by default and cannot be disabled; you just need to assign a
CylancePROTECT
profile to users or groups. For
Android
devices, you configure the appropriate compliance behavior in the compliance profile that you assign to users and groups.
iOS
users must install the
BlackBerry UEM Client
or
BlackBerry Work
to use this feature.
Android
users must install the
UEM Client
to use this feature.
  1. In the management console, on the menu bar, click
    Policies and profiles > Protection > CylancePROTECT
    .
  2. Create a new
    CylancePROTECT
    profile or select and edit an existing
    CylancePROTECT
    profile.
  3. On the
    iOS
    tab, select the
    Enable message scanning
    check box. SMS text message scanning is enabled by default for
    Android
    and cannot be disabled.
  4. On the
    iOS
    tab, in the
    SMS and MMS scanning options
    drop-down list, choose one of the following:
    • If you want to send message to
      CylanceINFINITY
      to determine if they are safe, click
      Cloud scanning
      .
    • If you want to use only the local machine learning models of the
      CylancePROTECT Mobile
      library to identify unsafe URLs, click
      On-device scanning
      .
    • If you want to disable URL scanning, click
      No scanning
      .
  5. Click
    Save
    .
