Add an app or signing certificate to the approved app list
To prevent sideload detection for a specific
Android
app or for all Android
or iOS
apps that use a developer’s signing certificate, you can add the app or certificate to the approved app list. Note that all Android
and iOS
apps that you upload to the management console are approved automatically (regardless of whether you have deployed the app from UEM
) and do not cause compliance violations.
BlackBerry
has already added specific signing certificates, including the Amazon Appstore
certificate and Samsung
Kids Home signing certificate, to the approved list. You cannot remove these certificates.- In the management console, on the menu bar, clickSettings > CylancePROTECT > Approved apps.
- Click .
- Do one of the following:TaskStepsAdd anAndroidapp to the approved app list
- On theApproved appstab, click +.
- Do one of the following:
- To select an app file, clickSelect an app file. ClickBrowseand navigate to and select the .apk file. ClickUpload.
- To manually enter the app information, clickManually enter the app’s hash info. Specify the app details. ClickAdd.
If an app contains multiple .apk files, you must upload each .apk file or manually enter the hash of each file. Optionally, you can add the app's signing certificate (see the following row) instead of uploading or specifying the hash of each file.Add a signing certificate to the approved app list- On theApproved developerstab, click +.
- Do one of the following:
- To add the signing certificate from an app file (Androidonly), clickSelect an app for certificate information. ClickBrowseand navigate to and select the .apk file. ClickUpload.
- To manually enter the certificate information, clickManually enter certificate information. Specify the certificate details and select the appropriate OS. ClickAdd.
- Repeat step 3 to add additional signing certificates to the approved list.
- ClickSave.
