Enable network protection

To enable insecure network detection for
Android
 and
iOS
 devices or insecure
Wi-Fi
 access point detection for
Android
 devices, you must create and assign a
CylancePROTECT
 profile to users.
  1. In the management console, on the menu bar, click
    Policies and profiles > Protection > CylancePROTECT
    .
  2. Create a new
    CylancePROTECT
     profile or select and edit an existing
    CylancePROTECT
     profile.
  3. On the
    Android
     tab, select the
    Detect insecure access point
     check box.
    Wi-Fi
     access algorithms are classified in safe and unsafe lists. You can choose to move any of the available algorithms to the safe or unsafe list based on your organization's needs.
  4. To enable insecure network detection for
    iOS
     and
    Android
     devices, on the
    Android
     or
    iOS
     tab, in the
    Insecure network detection
     section, select the
    Enable insecure network detection
     check box.
  5. Click
    Save
    .
  • Assign the profile to users and groups.
  • Instruct users to allow location service permissions when prompted by a
    BlackBerry Dynamics
     app. Instruct
    Android
     11 users to set the location access permission in the
    UEM Client
     to
    Allow all the time
    .
  • Optionally, create an event notification for when an insecure network or insecure
    Wi-Fi
     access point is detected.
  • Configure compliance actions to take when an insecure network or insecure
    Wi-Fi
     access point is detected
