Set sync policies
You can set the policies for files that are synchronized through the
BlackBerry Workspaces
app for Windows
and the BlackBerry Workspaces
app for Mac
. For example, you can enable synchronization, make sure that files are protected, and restrict the file download and upload rates.- In the left pane, clickSync.
- To allow synchronization of files onWindowsdevices using theBlackBerry Workspacesapp, selectEnable sync. File synchronization is allowed by default forMacdevices and cannot be disallowed.When this setting is set to disallow synchronization, you may enable sync for individual user accounts. Files that are already synchronized to the device are removed from the device if synchronization is disallowed later.
- To make sure all files are protected when synced, in theGeneral settingsarea, selectAlways download files as protected via Workspaces for Windows and Workspaces app for Mac.
- To set the upload and download rate:
- SelectLimit download rateand enter the rate limit in MB.
- SelectLimit upload rateand enter the rate limit in MB.
- ClickApply changes.
