Collaborating on files
You can collaborate on files that you share and send through
BlackBerry Workspaces
.To enable collaboration on a file, turn on Allow upload of new versions when you share the file with others. Recipients who are granted the necessary permissions can then edit the file and share the new version with all recipients.
You can turn on Commenting to allow recipients to discuss the file in the comments panel.
You can collaborate on the file in the following ways:
- Add recipients to the sent file, which expands the group of people who can work on the file.
- Send a copy of a file throughBlackBerry Workspacesto create a separate version of the file for collaboration with a different user or group.
- To monitor file activities, open Track activies for the file (see Track file activities).
After you send the file, you and the file recipients can collaborate on the file in the following ways:
- Comment on the file to discuss it, and mention other users in comments to trigger email notifications.
- Annotate and edit the file online.
- Download the file and make changes locally, then attach and protect the file in a reply to the original message. The changes are saved toBlackBerry Workspaces.
- Upload a new version of a file of the file. A recipient uploads a new version from theReceived Filesfilter. A sender uploads a new version from theSent Filesfilter.
