Duplicate an organization on the same server
You can copy an existing organization and rename it. Be aware that most settings are copied from the original organization, including alert templates, except as specified.
- You must be a system administrator.
- Duplication includes device and protocol duplication.
- After duplicating an organization, review all alert templates and make adjustments if necessary.
- Creating organizations using the New button in the Organizations Manager should be performed only with assistance fromBlackBerry AtHoctechnical support to ensure the new system has all the appropriate settings.
- By default, a duplicated organization will not have a common name. If you plan to access the duplicated organization with theBlackBerry AtHocSDK, you must assign it a common name.
- You can duplicate a peer organization, but not a child (member) organization.
- In the navigation bar, click .
- In theSystem Setupsection, clickOrganizations Manager.
- On theOrganizations Managerscreen, click to select the organization you want to copy.If the list is extensive, use the search field at the top of the screen. You can also click a column heading sort the list.
- ClickDuplicate.
- On theDuplicate Organizationdialog, enter the name of the new organization.
- ClickSave.
The duplicate organization appears in the list on the main screen.
