- Review the CylanceOPTICS software requirements.
- You must install theCylancePROTECT Desktopagent on devices before you install theCylanceOPTICSagent.
- If you want to install theCylanceOPTICSagent onmacOSBig Sur (11.x) or later devices, see Configuration requirements for macOS 11.x and later.
- Before you install theCylanceOPTICSagent on devices, you must configure the following on those devices to disable proxy bypass. This is required forCylanceHYBRIDenvironments, as it ensures that theCylanceOPTICSagent always uses a specified proxy server to connect to theCylanceOPTICScloud services:
- In /Library/Application Support/Cylance/Desktop/registry/LocalMachine/Software/Cylance/Desktop/, add the following to the values.xml file:<value name=“ProxyServer” type=“string”>http://proxy_server_IP:port</value>
- In /Library/Application Support/Cylance/Optics/Configuration, create an ExternalConfig.xml file with the following:<?xml version=“1.0” encoding=“utf-8”?><EnforceProxyServer>true</EnforceProxyServer>
- In the management console, on the menu bar, clickSettings > Deployments.
- In theProductdrop-down list, clickCylanceOPTICS.
- Select the OS, version, and format, and clickDownload.
