application using a downloaded setup fileYou can install your
CylanceHYBRID
application from a local setup file that you downloaded previously.The installation process can take 10 minutes or more to complete.
The installation of
CylanceHYBRID
includes some third-party components and applications. See our Third-party products and licenses.- Review the CylanceHYBRID system requirements.
- Verify that you have root or sudo access to the virtual machine that you will install theCylanceHYBRIDapplication on.
- In theCylance Endpoint Securitymanagement console, on the menu bar, clickSettings > Deployments.
- In theProductdrop-down list, selectCylanceHYBRID.
- In theOSdrop-down list, select yourLinuxdistribution.
- In theVersiondrop-down list, select your version ofCylanceHYBRID.
- In theFormatdrop-down list, select the tgz file that corresponds to yourLinuxdistribution.
- ClickDownload. This file might take more than ten minutes to download.
- Below the drop-down lists, to download the license key file (license.yaml), click the download icon.
- Sign in to the virtual machine. You must have root or sudo access.
- Open a command prompt and change the directory to the location of the downloaded file.
- Entertar xf <downloaded file name>.tar.tgzand pressEnter. This extracts the contents of the tar file.
- Entercat install.sh | sudo bash -s airgapand pressEnter.
- A series of questions displays. Answer yes (Y) to all questions. If no action is taken, the installation process will automatically accept the defaults.
- If multiple network interfaces are detected, select the one thatCylanceHYBRIDwill use and pressEnter. The installation process fetches the required packages and installs theCylanceHYBRIDapplication. You might see NOKEY warnings; these can be ignored.When the installation completes, save the Kotsadm address and the login password that are displayed in the terminal window. These are required when you sign in to theCylanceHYBRIDconsole on the virtual machine, but will not be shown again.
