Send a copy of a file
Use the
Send a copy
action to create a new instance of a BlackBerry Workspaces
file and send it to another user. Recipients receive a link to the file and it appears in the Received files
area. Senders manage the file in the Sent files
area.- Tapto the right of the file you want to send.Send a Copy
- In theEnter names or emailsarea, do one of the following:
- To manually add recipient email addresses, enter the email address(es) of the intended recipient(s).
- To select contacts from your device's contact list, tap and select the contact(s) you want to share the file with.
- Do any of the following to set the desired permissions:
- To change the access permissions, tap in thePermissionarea, and select the desired access level.
- To add a read file acknowledgement request to the file, toggle theRequire read acknowledgementoption to on.
- To set a file expiration, when the file will no longer be accessible by the recipients, tap in theExpirationarea, and select the desired time period.
- To set the access for the file link, tap in theAllow access toarea, and select the desired group:Recipients only,Anyone with recipients' domain, orEveryone.
- To ensure the file is displayed to recipients with a watermark, toggle theWatermarkoption on.Watermarks are set according to organizational policy. When watermarks are turned on and permissions are set toFull access, watermarks are displayed inWorkspacesviewers on all files. When permissions are set to any of theDownload protectedpermissions, and files are downloaded, watermarks only display on PDF files and do not display on Office files opened in their native applications.
- To allow upload of new versions (when collaboration mode is enabled), switch theAllow upload of new versionstoggle on.
- To include annotations when sending the file (on files that contain annotations), switch theInclude annotationstoggle on.
- Tap to return to theSend a Copyscreen.
- If desired, change the email subject in theSubjectarea. If desired, add a personal message in theAdd a personal messagebox.
- TapSendto send the file.Authorized recipients can view the file by tapping on the link in the received email.
