The following requirements apply when you need to configure servers to support
BlackBerry Docsservice in your organization.
Log in to entitlements and confirm that you have the appropriate entitlements. For more information about entitlements, see "Configure
BlackBerry Workconnection settings" in the
BlackBerry Workadministration content.
Verify that the following ports are open for
Inbound TCP ports: 8443 from the
Outbound TCP ports
Outbound UDP ports: 137–138 to CIFS share
BEMSrequires a proxy server for external access, record the following information:
If your environment is configured for a specific version of SMB or CIFS protocol to access a File Share, make sure that
BEMSis installed on a compatible
Microsoft Windowsoperating system. Refer to your
Microsoftdocumentation for more information on compatibility.
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft Active Directoryservice account for the
BEMSsoftware. For example, BEMSAdmin.

Verify the version of
Microsoft .NET Framework.

Verify that your environment is running one of the following:
Verify that you have the required hardware to host
BEMS. For more information about hardware requirements, see one of the following:
If you configure your environment for disaster recovery, see the Disaster recovery content.
Verify that the servers that host and access the
BEMSDashboard have a supported browser installed.
Make sure that the server's time and date are set correctly.
Make sure that the server is joined to the domain.
If you are using resource based Kerberos constrained delegation or Kerberos constrained delegation (KCD), make sure that the
BEMSservice account is a local administrator on the server.
Make sure that the
BEMSservice account has "Log on as a service" permission.
Make sure that the
WindowsFirewall is disabled.
Disable all antivirus programs and backup software before you install or upgrade the
