Change general settings in the 
BlackBerry Hub+
 Inbox 

You can change the way you view and organize your messages in the 
BlackBerry Hub+
 Inbox. General settings apply to all accounts on your device.
To access the general settings, in the 
BlackBerry Hub+
 Inbox, tap the gear icon. 

Change the default email account

If you have personal and work email accounts, you can have two different default accounts. 
  1. In the 
    General
     section, tap 
    Default email account
    .
  2. Tap the account that you want to use as the default. 

Change how messages are displayed

  1. In the 
    General
     section, tap 
    Display
    .
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To display light text on a dark background, turn on the 
      Dark theme
       switch. 
    • To view single messages instead of grouped messages with the same subject, turn off the 
      Conversation view
       switch. 
    • To show the oldest message in a conversation first, tap 
      Conversation order
      , and then tap 
      Old messages first
      . To change the order of messages temporarily, in a conversation, tap The more actions icon > 
      Reverse order
      . 
    • To have more space between messages in the message list, tap 
      Message list layout
      , then tap 
      Expanded message list
      . 
    • To view message subjects above sender names, turn off the 
      Show name first
       switch.
    • To exclude your sent email messages from the message list, turn off the 
      Show sent emails
       switch.
    • To see filed email in both the folder and message list, tap 
      Show filed emails in
      , and then tap an option.
    • To change which messages display when you slide your fingers together to filter the messages in a message list, tap 
      Pinch gesture actions
      , and then tap an option.
    • To stop your device from adjusting the content in email messages to fit the width of the screen, turn off the 
      Resize email to fit screen
       switch.

Change how messages are deleted

  1. In the 
    General
     section, tap 
    Display
    .
  2. Do any of the following:
    • To receive a confirmation before you delete messages, turn on the 
      Delete message confirmation
       switch.
    • To select whether messages you delete from the 
      BlackBerry Hub+
       Inbox are deleted from the 
      BlackBerry Hub+
       Inbox only or from both the 
      BlackBerry Hub+
       Inbox and server, tap 
      Delete on
      , and then tap an option.

Create your own custom swipe gestures

By default, when you swipe left on a message in your message list, your message is deleted. When you swipe right, it is snoozed. You can customize what action the 
BlackBerry Hub+
 Inbox takes when you swipe left or right. For example, you can use a swipe gesture to file or flag messages.
  1. In the 
    General
     section, tap 
    Swipe gesture actions
    .
  2. Tap 
    Left swipe gesture
     or 
    Right swipe gesture
    .
  3. Tap an option.

Change image settings

  1. In the 
    General
     section, tap 
    Email external images
    .
  2. Do any of the following: 
    • To download images automatically in messages, turn on the 
      Download images automatically
       switch.
    • To stop downloading images automatically from senders you previously approved, tap 
      Clear image approvals
       > 
      OK
