Set an environment variable for the Java location
Java

17 implementation on the servers where you will install the BlackBerry Connectivity Node
, and the environment variable must point to the Java
home location.
When you begin the installation, the
BlackBerry Connectivity Node
verifies that it can find Java
. If it can't find Java
, the setup application will stop on the requirements panel and you must set an environment variable for the Java
location and ensure that the Java
bin folder is included in the Path system variable. Note that you must close down the installer at this time and restart it only after the environment variable has been created or updated.Verify that you have installed
JRE
17 on the server where you will be installing the BlackBerry Connectivity Node
.- Open theWindows Advanced system settingsdialog box.
- ClickEnvironment Variables.
- Under theSystem variableslist, clickNew.
- In theVariable namefield, typeBB_JAVA_HOME.
- In theVariable valuefield, type the path to theJREfolder and clickOK.
- In theSystem variableslist, selectPathand clickEdit.
- If the Path doesn't include theJavabin folder, clickNewand add%BB_JAVA_HOME%\binto the Path.
- Move the %BB_JAVA_HOME%\bin entry high enough in the list that it won't be superseded by another entry and clickOK.
