IISW-SV-000108: Sufficient web server log records for source of web server events

The IIS 8.5 web server must produce log records that contain sufficient information to establish the source of IIS 8.5 web server events.
To check compliance with IISW-SV-000108, complete the following steps:
  1. Open the IIS 8.5 Manager.
  2. Click the IIS 8.5 web server name.
  3. Under
    IIS
    , double-click the
    Logging
    icon.
  4. Under
    Format
    , select
    W3C
    .
  5. Click
    Select Fields
    .
  6. Verify that
    Server Name
     and
    Host
    are checked.
If the
Server Name
 and
Host
fields are not checked, your server is not compliant.
If your server is not compliant, complete the following steps:
  1. Open the IIS 8.5 Manager.
  2. Click the IIS 8.5 web server name.
  3. Under
    IIS
    , double-click the
    Logging
    icon.
  4. Under
    Format
    , select
    W3C
    .
  5. Select the
    Server Name
     and
    Host
     fields.
  6. Click
    OK
    .
  7. In the Actions pane, click
    Apply
    .
