Make the opt-in user attribute available for targeting and user management
When you enable SMS Opt-In, an opt-in user attribute is automatically created. In order to target users in alerts and events using this SMS opt-in user attribute, you must make it available for targeting.
- Log in to theBlackBerry AtHocmanagement system as an administrator.
- Click .
- In theBasicsection, clickGeneral Settings.
- On theGeneral Settingsscreen, in theLayoutssection, clickView/EditbesideTargeting Settings.
- On theGroup Targeting Definitionwindow, in theAvailable User Attributescolumn, click theOpt-In<opt-in-number>attribute.
- ClickAdd.
- Optionally, use the control buttons on the right to move the opt-in attribute higher or lower in theSelected User Attributeslist.
- ClickSave.
- On theGeneral Settingsscreen, clickSave.
- In the navigation bar, clickUsers>User Attributes.
- On theUser Attributesscreen, click theOpt-In<opt-in-number>attribute.
- On the user attribute details page, in thePage Layoutsection, select a value from theUser Details - Full Pagepull-down menu. Do not leave this option set toDo Not show.
