BlackBerry Router
The
BlackBerry Router
is an optional component that you can install in a DMZ outside of your organization's firewall. The BlackBerry Router
connects to the Internet to send data between BlackBerry UEM
and devices that use the BlackBerry Infrastructure
. The BlackBerry Router
functions as a proxy server and can support SOCKS v5 (no authentication). For more information about configuring the BlackBerry Router
as a TCP proxy server, see the Configuration content. - Note that you must install a standaloneBlackBerry Routeron a computer that does not host any otherUEMcomponents.
- The installer for theBlackBerry Routerrequires JRE 17.
- If the server is not part of a domain, you must specify the service account credentials as server name\user. For more information about configuring the service account, see Configure permissions for the service account.
- On the computer where you want to install theBlackBerry Router, download and extract theUEMInstallation file (.zip).
- In therouterfolder, extract themdm.deployment.routerzip file.
- In theInstallerfolder, double-click theSetup.exefile to install theBlackBerry Router.The installation runs in the background and displays no dialog boxes. Once the installation completes, theBlackBerry Routerservice appears in the Services window.
