Configure the Docs service settings

service settings- Verify that theDocsservice is enabled.
- If your environment is configured forMicrosoft SharePoint OnlineorEntra-IP, verify the following are registered inEntra:
- BlackBerry Workapp so that it can access theMicrosoft SharePoint Onlinerepositories. For more information, see Obtain an Entra app ID for BlackBerry Work in theBlackBerry Work, Notes, and Tasks administration content.
- TheDocsservice to provide your end users with access to stored enterprise data from their mobile devices. For more information, see Obtain an Entra Azure app ID for the Docs component service.
- If your environment is configured forEntra-IP, have the following information available:
- Entratenant name
- BEMSserviceEntraapplication ID
- BEMSserviceEntraapplication key
- If theDocsservice is configured to communicate with an on-premisesMicrosoft SharePointinstance, verify thatMicrosoft SharePointrepositories are using https secure ports. Using http non-secure ports is not supported.
- Optionally, you can configure theDocsservice to allow users to authenticate toMicrosoft SharePoint OnlineandMicrosoft OneDrive for Businesswith an email address that is different from the email address that was used to install and activateBlackBerry Work. To enable this feature, contactBlackBerry Technical Support Services.
- In the management console, clickSettings > BlackBerry Dynamics > Docs.
- Click theSettingstab.
- Complete one or both of the following tasks.EnvironmentStepsYour environment is configured to useMicrosoft SharePoint OnlineorEntra-IP andMicrosoft SharePoint Online
- Optionally, select theEnable Azure Information Protectioncheck box to allowDocsservice to authenticate toEntra-IP.
- Enter theEntratenant name.
- Enter theBEMSserviceEntraapplication ID that you obtained when you registered theDocscomponent service.
- Enter theBEMSserviceEntraapplication key that you obtained when you registered theDocsapp inEntra.
Your environment is configured to use an on-premisesMicrosoft SharePoint- Select theEnable BlackBerry Connectivity Noderoute check box to allowDocsto connect to theBlackBerry Infrastructureinstead of using an inbound port. This setting requires that theBlackBerry Connectivity Nodeis installed and configured in your environment.
- To allow theDocsservice to communicate with an on-premisesMicrosoft SharePointserver, extract theMicrosoft SharePointserver certificate and send it toBlackBerry Technical Support Services. If the on-premisesMicrosoft SharePointsites use certificates that are not publicly trusted (for example, self-signed or enterprise CA certs), then send these certificates toBlackBerry Technical Support Services.
