Configure the watcher settings

You can configure
CylanceV
to watch for new files that are added to a specific directory. You can also configure what happens to safe, unsafe, and abnormal file types.
  1. In the
    Actions
    section, set the action to take for files with varying security levels.
    1. In the
      Safe files
      field, from the drop-down list, select the action to take when a safe file is added to the directory. Possible values are ignore, delete, move to safe, move to unsafe, or move to abnormal.
    2. In the
      Unsafe files
      field, from the drop-down list, select the action to take when an unsafe file is added to the directory. Possible values are ignore, delete, move to safe, move to unsafe, or move to abnormal.
    3. In the
      Abnormal files
      field, from the drop-down list, select the action to take when an abnormal file is added to the directory. Possible values are ignore, delete, move to safe, move to unsafe, or move to abnormal.
  2. If you selected move to safe, move to unsafe, or move to abnormal for any of the actions above, you must specify the destination folder in the respective field. Click
    Browse
    and select a folder on your computer. Click
    Test
    to verify that the directory read and write tests are successful.
  3. If you want to monitor a directory using the watcher, you must click
    Start Watching
