Configure the file inspection settings
- From theApplication Settingsdialog, click theFile Inspectiontab.
- In theFile to Inspectsection, select the files types that you wantCylanceVto inspect. The possible file types are:
- Executables: If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze executable files for malicious payloads.
- : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyzeWindowsMicrosoft Windowsexecutable files for malicious payloads.
- : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyzeMacmacOSandiOSexecutable files for malicious payloads.
- : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyzeLinuxLinuxexecutable files for malicious payloads.
- Documents: If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze all document types for inspection.
- Office Binary: If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze legacyMicrosoft Officefiles (.doc, .ppt, .xls, etc.) for inspection.
- Office XML: If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze Office Open XML files (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx, etc.) for inspection.
- PDF: If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze portable document format files (.pdf) for inspection.
- Signatures: If this is enabled,CylanceVwill check digital signatures for all signed files.
- In theCylance File Analysissection, specify the following values:
- In theMax file size to submit to Infinityfield, you can specify the maximum allowed file size (in MB) to upload toCylanceINFINITY.CylanceVwill only upload files thatCylanceINFINITYhas not analyzed before. The maximum file size to submit toCylanceINFINITYis 50 MB and the minimum is 1 MB. The default setting is 50 MB.
- In theMax file size to submit to examinefield, you can specify the maximum file size (in MB) thatCylanceVwill analyze. Files larger than this will not be examined. The maximum file size to examine locally is 1500 MB and the minimum is 1 MB. The default setting is 50 MB.
- In theValid file types to submit to Infinityfield, you can enable submittingWindowsexecutable files toCylanceINFINITYfor analysis ifBlackBerryhas never seen this file before.
