Configure the file inspection settings

  1. From the
    Application Settings
    dialog, click the
    File Inspection
    tab.
  2. In the
    File to Inspect
    section, select the files types that you want

    to inspect. The possible file types are:
    • Executables
      : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze executable files for malicious payloads.
      • Windows
        : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze
        Microsoft Windows
        executable files for malicious payloads.
      • Mac
        : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze
        macOS
        and
        iOS
        executable files for malicious payloads.
      • Linux
        : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze
        Linux
        executable files for malicious payloads.
    • Documents
      : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze all document types for inspection.
      • Office Binary
        : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze legacy
        Microsoft Office
        files (.doc, .ppt, .xls, etc.) for inspection.
      • Office XML
        : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze Office Open XML files (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx, etc.) for inspection.
      • PDF
        : If this is enabled, you will be able to analyze portable document format files (.pdf) for inspection.
    • Signatures
      : If this is enabled,
      CylanceV
      will check digital signatures for all signed files.
  3. In the
    Cylance File Analysis
    section, specify the following values:
    • In the
      Max file size to submit to Infinity
      field, you can specify the maximum allowed file size (in MB) to upload to
      CylanceINFINITY
      .
      CylanceV
      will only upload files that
      CylanceINFINITY
      has not analyzed before. The maximum file size to submit to
      CylanceINFINITY
      is 50 MB and the minimum is 1 MB. The default setting is 50 MB.
    • In the
      Max file size to submit to examine
      field, you can specify the maximum file size (in MB) that
      CylanceV
      will analyze. Files larger than this will not be examined. The maximum file size to examine locally is 1500 MB and the minimum is 1 MB. The default setting is 50 MB.
    • In the
      Valid file types to submit to Infinity
      field, you can enable submitting
      Windows
      executable files to
      CylanceINFINITY
      for analysis if
      BlackBerry
      has never seen this file before.
