Steps to upgrade
BEMS
and change to an alternate
JRE

Perform the following steps to upgrade
BEMS
and change from
Oracle
JRE
to an alternate
JRE
(for example,
Azul Systems
or
Zulu
). For more information, see 57053
Consider the following before you upgrade the
BEMS
instance:
  • The
    BEMS
instance must be fully functional, and the
    Good Technology Common Services
service must be running to perform an in-place upgrade of the
    BEMS
    software.
  • Before you upgrade, verify that the
    BEMS
debug logging level is not set to DEBUG or TRACE, or the upgrade or repair of the
    BEMS
instance fails. For more information, see 42408.
When you upgrade to
JRE
17, it is a best practice to uninstall
JRE
8 after the upgrade is complete, to allow for potential rollback if necessary.
If you have multiple
BEMS
instances in your environment, repeat these steps on each instance.
