If you plan to support
Skype for Business
for calendar and meeting features in BlackBerry Work
, you require the following:
- An on-premisesSkype for BusinessServer 2015 and later
- An on-premisesMicrosoft Exchangeserver supported byBlackBerry Work. See the Compatibility Matrix for Mobile/Desktop OS and Enterprise Applications for a list of supportedMicrosoft Exchangeservers.
- TheSkype for Businessclient must be installed on devices for users to be able to join meetings from a calendar event.
Also note the following considerations:
- TheSkype for Businessaccount and theMicrosoft Exchangeserver must be in the same domain.
- Skype for Businessdoes not support shared calendars.
- Ensure that the following DNS names are added to the DNS server:
- lyncdiscoverinternal.<domain>
- lyncdiscover.<domain>
- meet.<domain>

- EnableSkype for Businessin the app configuration forBlackBerry Work. For details, see Configure BlackBerry Work app settings.
- Select theAllow to create Skype for Business meetings in calendaroption to allow users to addSkype for Businessmeetings to their calendars.
- Select theAllow launching into Skype for Business app on mobileoption to allow users to make voice and video calls and to be able to joinSkype for Businessmeetings directly from a calendar invitation. The meeting is automatically opened in theSkype for Businessclient and users must have theSkype for Businessclient installed on their devices.
- In theDomain of Skype for Business meeting linkfield, enter the fully qualified domain name or the domain-only portion of theSkype for Businessmeeting server to allow internal users to use the Join meeting button in the event details. For example, meet.example.com or example.com. By entering this domain name,BlackBerry Workcan locate which meeting link to capture from the meeting invitation if it is different from the user's email address domain.
