- Click theBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasksapp.
- On theBlackBerry Dynamicstab, in theApp configurationtable, click .
- Type a name for the app configuration.
- For theBlackBerry Tasksapp only, on theNotificationstab, in theSelect level or detail in Tasks remindersdrop-down list, select whether to turn off task notifications on the user's device, to display a generic notification, or to display the title of the task in the notification.
- On theConfigurations Settingstab, in theSecurity Settingssection, configure the following settings:
- Select theUse of Kerberos Constrained Delegation in place of login/passwordoption to useKerberosConstrained Delegation as the login type for users. WhenKerberosContrained Delegation is used, users do not have to enter a password forExchange ActiveSync.
- Select theUse client certificate in place of login/passwordoption to require the use of certificates for login instead of a username and password. This is a requirement if certificate-based authentication is required forMicrosoft Exchange Web Services.
- In theEmbedded Hyperlink Supportdrop-down list, select the allowed behavior when a user opens a hyperlink.
- In theEnterprise Mobility Serversection, configure the following:
- In theServer List Reshuffle Period (minutes)field, specify the frequency that theBEMSserver list is reshuffled (if present), for load balancing purposes. The default setting is 10 minutes.
- In theServer List Quarantine Period (minutes)field, if aBEMSserver is not working,BlackBerry Taskswill wait this period before it retries. The default setting is 10 minutes.
- On theExchange Settingstab, configure the following:
- In theExchange Web Services Authentication Methods (iOS only)section, choose the authentication methods to be used: Negotiate, NTLM, or Basic. If only certain authentication methods are supported fromMicrosoft Exchange, set those values to minimize the user setup time. (For example, if the EWS IIS Auth Setting is set to allow only NTLM, then select only NTLM above for an optimal setup experience.) If none are selected above, the defaultMicrosoft Exchangesetting will be used.
- In theMicrosoft Exchange Settingssection, in theExchange Domainfield, specify the defaultWindows NTdomain thatBlackBerry Taskswill try to connect to automatically when users log in toBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasks. If your server uses newer UPN (email@host.com) style login instead of the older (domain\user) style login, leave this field blank. In theExchange Serverfield, specify the FQDN of the server, CAS Array, or Load Balancer that is responsible for providingMicrosoft Exchange Web Services. If you leave this field blank,BlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasksuses assisted autodiscover throughBEMSifBEMSis configured, and ifBEMSis listed in the application server list forBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasks. Enter only the FQDN of theMicrosoft Exchangeserver. Do not include a protocol prefix such as https:// or a URI suffix.
- On theExchange settingstab, configure the following settings:
- In theExchange Web Services User Name Formats (iOS only)section, choose which of the following user name formats to use to authenticate withMicrosoft Exchange Web Services: UPN, Domain\UserId, or SMTP. If only certain user name formats are supported fromMicrosoft Exchange, set those values to minimize the user setup time. (For example, if the EWS Auth Settings are set to allow only SMTP but not UPN, then deselect UPN in the app setting.) If none are selected above, authentication with all user name formats will be attempted.
- In theTLS Certificate Settingssection, specify the user credential profile that contains the TLS certificate to be used to connect toMicrosoft Exchange. The name of the profile that you specify here must match the name of the user credential profile that was created in theBlackBerry UEMmanagement console. For more information on user credential profiles, see Sending client certificates to devices and apps using user credential profiles.
- In theMicrosoft Office 365 Modern Auth Settings (Beta)section, configure options forMicrosoft 365. If selected, specify the following:
- Select theUse Office 365 Modern Authenticationoption to use modern authentication instead of basic authentication. Modern authentication enablesBlackBerry NotesandBlackBerry Tasksto use sign-in features such as Multi-Factor Authentication, SAML-based third-party Identity Providers, and smart card and certificate-based authentication.
- In theOffice 365 Sign On URLfield, specify the web address thatBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasksshould use when signing in toOffice 365. If you do not specify a value,BlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Taskswill use https://login.microsoftonline.com during setup.
- In theOffice 365 Tenant IDfield, specify the tenant ID of theMicrosoft 365server that you wantBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasksto connect to during setup.
- In theAzure App IDfield, specify theMicrosoft Entra IDapp ID forBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasks. For information on how obtain anEntraapp ID, see Obtain an Azure app ID for BlackBerry Work.
- In theOffice 365 Resourcefield, specify the URL of theMicrosoft Exchange Onlineserver.
- In theRedirect URIfield, specify the URI that you entered in theMicrosoft Entra IDportal.
- Select theProxy Modern Authentication requests ( only)setting to force allOffice 365Modern Authentication requests to go through theBlackBerry Proxyinstead of connecting directly to the Internet.
- In theExchange User Namesection, select UPN to use a UPN user name format instead of SMTP when authenticating withMicrosoft Exchange.
- On theApp Settingstab, configure the following:
- Select theAllow users to perform app diagnosticsoption, to allow users to generate a diagnostics report and then email the results to their administrator.
- Select theEnable DLP Watermarkoption to display a user’s username and the date and time as a watermark on all screens inBlackBerry NotesorBlackBerry Tasks.
- ForBlackBerry Notesonly, select theStore the Title of the Notes in the Note bodyoption to save the note title with the note body. This option requiresMicrosoft Exchange2016 or later.
- On theInteroperabilitytab, configure the following:
- ForBlackBerry Tasks for iOSandBlackBerry Notes for iOSonly, select theTap a phone number to dial using native phoneoption to allow users to tap a phone number to dial using the device's native phone.
- ForBlackBerry Tasks for AndroidandBlackBerry Notes for Android, select theGrant permission to use the Tasks list widget (Android only)option to specify whether the list widget can be used onAndroiddevices.
- On theAttachmentstab, configure the following:
- Specify whether to allow incoming and outgoing attachments.
- Specify the maximum size.
- Specify the file extensions that are allowed or disallowed.
- On theDeprecatedtab, select theDisable SSL Certificate Checkingoption to disable SSL certificate verification forMicrosoft Exchange Web Servicesservers in test environments.
- ClickSave.
