What's new in the BlackBerry AtHoc Messaging App for
Microsoft Teams

The
BlackBerry AtHoc
 Messaging app for Microsoft Teams will be available in November 2025. This first release extends
BlackBerry AtHoc
’s critical event communication capabilities into the Microsoft Teams platform, enabling organizations to reach users where they work every day. The app delivers real-time emergency alerts directly into Microsoft Teams (desktop and mobile), allowing employees to quickly view, acknowledge, and respond.
  • Teams Messaging integration
    : Alerts can now be delivered to end users directly inside Microsoft Teams.
  • Actionable alerts
    : Users can respond with predefined response options. For example,
    I’m safe
     or
    I need help
    .
  • Location sharing
    : Alerts can include location details to improve situational awareness.
  • Multi-device support
    : Fully supported on the both the Teams desktop and mobile apps.
  • Locale support
    : Available in all locales supported by
    BlackBerry AtHoc
    .
The
BlackBerry AtHoc
 Messaging App for Microsoft Teams release 1.0 is available only in the EMEA region.
