Create a BlackBerry UEM database using CreateDB
BlackBerry UEM
database using CreateDBVerify that you configured the correct permissions on the database server.
- You must run CreateDB from a computer that has the fullBlackBerry UEMinstallation files extracted on it. The computer must be able to connect to the computer that hosts the database server that you want to create or upgrade theBlackBerry UEMdatabase on.
- Ensure you are using the latest supported version of Java. For details, see the BlackBerry UEM Compatibility Matrix.
- If you use aWindowsaccount to create theBlackBerry UEMdatabase, log in to the computer using aWindowsaccount that has database creator permissions.
- Copy theBlackBerry UEMinstallation files to the computer and extract the contents to a folder.Do not copy used installation files from another computer. You must re-extract the installation files on each computer.
- Navigate to.<extracted_folder>\db
- Open theCreateDB.propertiesfile in a text editor.
- Change the file to include information that is specific to your organization's environment.For more information on the contents of the createDB. properties file, see CreateDB.properties file.
- Save and close the file.
- Open a command prompt window.
- Change the directory to<extracted_folder>\db.
- Type one of the following commands to create or upgrade aBlackBerry UEMdatabase:Database configurationStepsCreate aBlackBerry UEMdatabaseTypeCreateDB.bat install CreateDB.properties. PressENTER.Upgrade aBlackBerry UEMdatabaseTypeCreateDB.bat upgrade CreateDB.properties. PressENTER.
Delete the CreateDB.properties file after you create or upgrade the
BlackBerry UEM
database.
