Add an app and obtain Azure details for configuring modern authentication

app ID displays in the Select members(s) section. The Azure
organization information displays on the Azure
Active
Directory
page as a property of the directory. Record these two entries for use when you configure BlackBerry UEM
for modern authentication.- Sign in to portal.azure.com.
- ClickApp registrations.
- ClickNew registration.
- In theNamefield, enter a name for the app.
- ClickRegister.
- ClickAPI permissions > Add a permission.
- Find theExchangeorOffice 365 Exchange Onlinepermissions group.
- ClickApplication permissions > Exchange.ManageAsApp > Add permission.
- To grant the administrator consent, selectExchange.ManageAsApp > Grant admin consent.
- In the Manage section, clickCertificates & secrets > Upload certificateand select the public key (cert.pem).
- To assign a role to the app, on theAzurehome page, clickAzure Active Directory.
- ClickRoles and Administrators.
- In theAdministrative rolessection, type "Exchange" to view the supported roles forMicrosoft Exchange.
- Click on a role to view the role details.
- ClickAdd assignments.
- UnderSelect member(s), clickNo member selected.
- Search for theAzureapp ID by app ID or app name.
- Select the app to move it to theSelected itemssection.
- ClickSelect.
- ClickNext.
- On theAdd assignmentspage, ensure that theAssignment typeis set toActive. For more information about assignment types, refer to the information fromMicrosoft.
- ClickAssign.
