Supported operating systems and SQL versions
The following components are the recommended platform configuration for a database server:
- Windows Server 2019 (64-bit) and Windows Server 2016 (64-bit).
- Windows PowerShell 5.1Windows Server 2016 includes Windows PowerShell 5.1 by default.
- Standard or Enterprise Edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2019 with cumulative updates or Microsoft SQL Server 2016.
