Register the mobile app
Prerequisites
- Download and install theBlackBerry AtHocmobile app from the Google Play or Apple App store.
- Before you register theBlackBerry AtHocmobile app on your device, you may need the organization code provided by yourBlackBerry AtHocadministrator. If your organization has a mapped email domain, you can register using your work email address without providing an organization code.
- If theBlackBerry AtHocmobile app is pushed by UEM/MDM and you belong to the same organization configured in the UEM/MDM, then you only have to verify your email address when registering for the first time and are directed to the home screen. In this case, you do not have to enter the organization code. You must enter the organization code if you switch organizations after registering for the first time. You may have to enter the organization code when registering for the first time if the organization you belong to is not configured in UEM/MDM, or there is no organization code configured in UEM/MDM.
- Tap theBlackBerry AtHocapp icon on your device.
- TapContinue.
- On theRegistrationscreen, allow all notification pop-ups that appear.
- For iOS devices:
- On theAllow "AtHoc" to use your location?pop-up, tapAllow While Using App.
- On theAllow "AtHoc" to also use your location even when you are not using the app?pop-up, tapChange to Always Allow.
- On the"AtHoc" Would Like to Send You Notificationspop-up, tapAllow.
- On the"AtHoc" Would Like to Send You Critical Alertspop-up, tapAllow.
- For Android devices:
- On the"AtHoc" Would Like to Access Your Locationpop-up, tapALLOW.
- On theAllow BlackBerry AtHoc to access this device's location?pop-up, tapWhile using the app.
- On theLocation permissionscreen, selectAllow all the time.
- On theRegistrationscreen, enter the email address that is associated with yourBlackBerry AtHocuser profile if it is not displayed. If you do not already have aBlackBerry AtHocuser profile, one will be created for you automatically.
- TapSubmit. A verification page with a confirmation message is displayed.
- Check your email for a verification email fromBlackBerry AtHocwith a link to activate your account to your registered email address.
- On the welcome email, clickVerify Now.
- After your email address is verified, do one of the following:
- If your email address domain maps to a domain in theBlackBerry AtHocsystem, the name of your organization appears on the Registration screen. You can tapEnter your organization codeto register with a different organization. TapContinueto register with the displayed organization. The My Profile page opens. Add additional contact information to your user profile, then tapSave. On theChanges have been savedpop-up, clickOK. The Inbox opens.
- If the email you entered does not match a mapped domain in theBlackBerry AtHocsystem, the Add Organization screen opens on your device. Enter the organization code provided by yourBlackBerry AtHocadministrator and tapSendor
. The Inbox opens.
- (Android devices only) On theAllow BlackBerry AtHoc to send you notifications?pop-up, tapAllow.
- (iOS devices only) On theNew organization settings receivedpop-up, tapAllow.
