Install and configure the Docs cluster

cluster- Configure the appropriate file-sharing services (for example,Microsoft SharePoint) andActive Directorysettings.
- Configure database replication for theDocsdatabase (BEMS-Core) from your primary site to your secondary site. SQL log shipping is recommended. Consult your database administrator for assistance.
- Make sure that the appropriate network ports are open to allow the servers that host theDocsservice within your secondary site to communicate with the database,Microsoft Exchange ServerandBlackBerry Proxyservers in your secondary and primary site.
- InstallBEMSon each server that will host theDocsservice at the primary site. Select theDocsoption in each case. Use a new database to create a new cluster dedicated toDocs.
- InstallBEMSon each server that will host theDocsservice at the secondary site. Select theDocsoption in each case. Add the servers to the same database that you used in step 1.
- At the primary site, in theBEMSdashboard (BEMSSystem Settings >BEMSConfiguration >BlackBerry Dynamics), configure one or moreBlackBerry Proxyservers from one or more clusters from the primary site. This list is used only for startup. Make sure that you clear the 'Apply to other nodes in thisBEMScluster' check box. Repeat this step for eachDocsservice instance in the primary site.
- At the secondary site, in theBEMSdashboard (BEMSSystem Settings >BEMSConfiguration >BlackBerry Dynamics), configure one or moreBlackBerry Proxyservers from one or more clusters from the secondary site. This list is used only for startup. Make sure that you clear the 'Apply to other nodes in this BEMS cluster' check box. Repeat this step for eachDocsinstance in the secondary site.
- Configure the appropriate file-sharing services (for example,SharePoint) andActive Directorysettings.
- Stop the services on the servers at the secondary site to prevent the disaster recovery nodes from contributing to normal cluster operations (for example, file sharing services).
- In theBlackBerry UEMmanagement console, in theBlackBerry Dynamicsconnectivity profiles that are assigned to users, do the following. Depending on your environment configuration, additional server-side services might be required. For more information aboutBEMSservices and server-side bindings, see the Additional information.
- UnderApp servers for Feature - Docs Service Entitlement, for each of the servers that host theDocsservice at the primary site, set thePriorityto PRIMARY and set thePrimary BlackBerry Proxy clusterto BPCluster1.
- UnderApp servers for Feature - Docs Service Entitlement, for each of the servers that host theDocsservice at the secondary site, set thePriorityto SECONDARY or TERTIARY and set thePrimary BlackBerry Proxy clusterto BPCluster2.
