Change your wallpaper, icons, or theme

You can use a picture as your wallpaper, change the icons that appear on the home screen, or switch themes. If you switch to a dark theme, it changes the background that appears when you tap The all apps icon and the background that appears when you touch and hold a blank area on the home screen and tap any of the options.
You can also access the wallpaper, icon, and theme settings from the screen that shows your apps, widgets, and shortcuts. In the upper-right corner of the screen, tap The settings icon.

Change your wallpaper

  1. On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen.
  2. Tap
    Wallpapers
    .
  3. Tap an image, or to see more images, tap
    Select image
    , and then tap an image.
  4. Tap
    Set wallpaper
    .

Change your theme

If you switch to a dark theme, it changes the background that appears when you tap The all apps icon and the background that appears when you touch and hold a blank area on the home screen and tap any of the options.
  1. On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen, and then tap The settings icon.
  2. Tap
    Theme
    .
  3. Select a theme.

Change your icon pack

  1. On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen.
  2. Tap
    Icon packs
    .
  3. Tap an icon pack, and then tap
    Set
    .
To search for icon packs on the
Google Play ™
 store, tap The Play Store icon.
