Organize apps and shortcuts
Move an app or a shortcut to the favorites tray
The favorites tray appears at the bottom of each home screen, giving
you easy access to your favorite apps or shortcuts. You can add up to four apps or
shortcuts to the favorites
tray.
- If the favorites tray is full, touch and hold one of the apps or shortcuts in the tray. Drag it to a spot on the home screen.
- Touch and hold the app or shortcut that you want to move, and then drag it to the favorites tray.
Move apps and shortcuts into folders
- On the home screen, touch and hold an app or a shortcut.
- Drag the app or shortcut on top of another app or shortcut that you want to include in the same folder.
- To name the folder, tap the folder. TapNew folder, and then enter a name.
Hide an app
- On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen, and then tap .
- TapApp appearance.
- Tap an app.
- Turn on theHide appswitch.
- TapSave.
To quickly hide an app from your home screen,
touch and hold an app icon. Tap and turn on the
Hide app
switch.Change the apps layout on the home screen
You can change the number of rows or columns of apps on the
home screen. The default layout is 5 rows of apps, and 5 columns of apps.
- On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen, and then tap .
- TapIcon layout.
- UnderGrid, select a number of columns and rows.
- TapSave.
Change the icon size on your home screen
Changing
the size of your icons may limit the number of rows and columns of icons you can
have.
- On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen, and then tap .
- TapIcon layout.
- Adjust theIcon sizeslider.
- TapSave.
Change an app name on the home screen
- On the home screen, touch and hold an empty area on the screen, and then tap .
- TapApp appearance.
- Tap an app.
- Type a new app name.
- TapSave.
To quickly rename an app from your home screen,
touch and hold an app icon. Tap . Type a new app name, and tap
Save
.
