Data encryption

There can be a large impact to encrypting the databases

BlackBerry AtHoc

runs on. For organizations that require encryption, the following scenarios were tested to give an expected decrease in system capacity under encryption. The SQL Server Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) encryption technology was used. Differences in encryption performance impacts between hardware and virtual deployments were negligible in the testing.
