Use system placeholders for accountability template content

An accountability template can contain predefined system placeholders in the Name and Description fields in the Event Details section. The placeholders are replaced automatically with the appropriate values when the accountability event is published. Spaces are automatically inserted before the placeholders to prevent text from running together when the event is published.

Note: System placeholders can also be added during event publishing. Alert placeholders can only be added to accountability templates.
The following fields in the Event Details section of an accountability event template support placeholders:
  • Name
  • Description

Placeholders can be used in custom text in targeted device options.

The following default system placeholders are available:

  • OperatorFullName
  • OrganizationID
  • OrganizationName
  • PublishDate
  • PublishTime
  • SystemName
  • Timezone
The following placeholders can be used in the Initial Message, Reminder Message, and Ending Message fields in the User Messages and Workflow section:
  • AccountabilityName
  • AccountabilityDescription
  1. In the navigation bar, click Account > Accountability Templates.
  2. Click an existing accountability template to open an editable details screen or New to create a new accountability template.
  3. In the Event Details section, click The Plus icon in the Name or Description fields.
  4. Select the appropriate alert placeholder option for the accountability template.

Double brackets [[ ]] around the alert placeholder name in the selected field indicate that you have added the alert placeholder correctly.

An operator can then select the correct alert placeholder values when preparing to publish an accountability event.
