Placeholders provide a way to customize text such as date or time, a building number, or group name in an accountability template. When the operator publishes the template, the value is inserted automatically or can be selected in the Custom Fields section. A space is automatically inserted before the placeholder value when the event is published.

System and custom placeholders can be added to the Name and Description fields in the Event Details section of an accountability template.

When the [[AccountabilityName]] or [[AccountabilityDescription]] placeholders are used in the Event Details section, their values are automatically added to the Initial Message, Reminder Message, and Ending Message sections.

Custom placeholders must have a value selected in a scheduled accountability event. Custom placeholders can be updated until the time the event is published.
