Optics
agent from a device

When you uninstall the
Optics
agent from a device, any local data that was stored by
Optics
and log files are also removed. You must uninstall the
Optics
agent before you uninstall the
Protect
agent.
To uninstall the agent, use the standard uninstall options available on the OS (for example, Add/Remove Programs on
Windows
or uninstall from Finder > Applications on
macOS
), or uninstall the Optics agent using OS commands.
For
Windows
, if you want to uninstall the agent using OS commands, the user must take ownership of the files and directories owned by the local system.
It is a best practice to restart the device after you uninstall the agent.
