Manage IT policies
You can change the default IT policy or you can create and assign custom IT policies.
- In the management console, on the menu bar, clickPolicies and profiles > Policy > IT policies.
- Do any of the following:TaskStepsCreate an IT policy.
- Click
. - Type a name and description for the IT policy.
- Click the tab for each device type and configure the appropriate values for the IT policy rules. For more information about IT policy rules, see the UEM IT policy rules Reference Guide.
- ClickSave.
- Assign the IT policy to users and groups.
Copy an IT policy.- Click the name of the IT policy that you want to copy.
- Click
. - Type a name and description for the IT policy.
- Click the tab for each device type and configure the appropriate values for the IT policy rules. For more information about IT policy rules, see the UEM IT policy rules Reference Guide.
- ClickSave.
- Assign the IT policy to users and groups.
Change an IT policy.- Click the name of the IT policy that you want to change.
- Click
. - Make changes on the appropriate tab for each device type.
- ClickSave.
Rank IT policies.- Click
. - Use the arrows to move IT policies up or down in the ranking.
- ClickSave.
Remove an IT policy from user accounts.- Click the name of the IT policy that you want to remove.
- On theAssigned to x userstab, search for and select the user accounts that you want to remove the IT policy from.
- Click

Remove an IT policy from groups.- Click the name of the IT policy that you want to remove.
- On theAssigned to x groupstab, search for and select the groups that you want to remove the IT policy from.
- Click
.
Delete an IT policy.You cannot delete the default IT policy. When you delete a custom IT policy,UEMremoves the IT policy from the users and devices that it is assigned to.- Select the IT policy that you want to delete.
- Click
. - ClickDelete.
Export IT policies to a .xml file.- Select the IT policies that you want to export.
