Tool
Details
BlackBerry UEM
Configuration Tool
If you plan to support more than 500 users, use the
UEM
Configuration Tool to calculate the number of SRP IDs that you require. After you install
UEM
, run the tool to import the SRPs into the
UEM
database before you add or migrate users. The tool is included with the
UEM
software, and can also be downloaded from
my
Account
.
The
UEM
Configuration Tool allows you to:
  • Update or change the following
    UEM
    database properties:
    • Microsoft SQL Server
      name
    • Database name
    • Port configuration
    • Database authentication
    • Windows
      username and password
  • Calculate the number of SRP IDs required for
    UEM
based on the projected total number of users
  • Import extra SRP IDs into the
    UEM
    database
For more details about the tool, see KB 36443.
For more information about obtaining and importing SRP IDs, see KB 36435.
BlackBerry UEM Readiness Tool
You can use the
BlackBerry UEM Readiness Tool
to check system requirements before you run the
UEM
setup application. The tool is included with the
UEM
software, and checks the following requirements:
  • Proxy server setting validation
  • Minimum operating system requirements
  • JRE
    version
  • Minimum hard disk space
  • Secure connection
  • SRP connection
  • Connection to the
    BlackBerry Dynamics NOC
  • Required ports
  • Account permissions
  • Database validation
The tool performs a simple CONNECT to determine that ports are open. It does not validate that traffic will flow properly. For example, the tool cannot detect issues related to traffic monitoring, SSL termination, or other systems that might reactively close sessions.
