As of
UEM
12.22 and later, you can enable BlackBerry
Dynamics
in a dark site environment. Enabling BlackBerry
Dynamics
is currently supported only for a new install of UEM
.
- Log on as a user with local administrator privileges to the server where you are installing or upgradingUEM.
- Download and extract theUEMinstallation files.
- Modify the deployer.properties file with the parameters for your environment. The deployer.properties file is located in the same folder as the setup.exe file.
- In theservice.account.password=field, type the password for the account you are logged in as.
- If you want to use an existingMicrosoft SQL Server, type the information in the appropriate fields for that server.
For information about how to fill out the fields, see deployer.properties file. - Open a command prompt window as an administrator, and in the directory where you extracted theUEMinstallation files, type one of the following commands:OptionCommandStandardUEMinstall: Use an existingMicrosoft SQL Serverdatabasesetup.exe --script --iacceptbeseula --propertyFiles darksite.properties --showlogStandardUEMinstall: Install a localMicrosoft SQL Serverdatabasesetup.exe --script --iacceptbeseula --propertyFiles darksite.properties --showlog --installSQLInstallUEMwith support forBlackBerry Dynamics: Use an existingMicrosoft SQL Serverdatabasesetup.exe --script --iacceptbeseula --propertyFiles darksite-dynamics.properties --showlogInstallUEMwith support forBlackBerry Dynamics: Install a localMicrosoft SQL Serverdatabasesetup.exe --script --iacceptbeseula --propertyFiles darksite-dynamics.properties --showlog --installSQL
- Log in to theUEMinstance.Verify that you have recorded the SRP ID, SRP authentication and aUEMlicense file name. You will enter this information when you log in. You can obtain the license file from yourBlackBerrySales representative.
- If you want to enable and useBlackBerry Dynamicsapps in a dark site environment, do the following:
- On the computer that hostsUEM, open a command prompt and change the directory to C:\BlackBerry\UEM\BlackBerry UEM<version>\db. For example: C:\BlackBerry\UEM\BlackBerry UEM 12.2x.0\db.
- Run the following command to registerBlackBerry Dynamicsapps and services to theUEMserver:# BesngRunSql.bat Database\mdm.dal\sql\DarksiteConfigDynamicsAppsServices.sql
- If you enabledBlackBerry Dynamics, configure and assign BlackBerry Dynamics and BlackBerry Dynamics connectivity profiles. To pushBlackBerry Dynamicsapps toAndroiddevices, see Adding internal BlackBerry Dynamics apps to the app list (if necessary, you can obtain APKs forBlackBerry Dynamicsapps from KB 42607). ForiOSdevices, you can give users temporary access to theApp Storeto downloadBlackBerry Dynamicsapps, or you can preloadBlackBerry Dynamicsapps on devices for users by temporarily accessing theApp Storeyourself, then you can distribute the devices to users for activation.
