Activate your
Windows Phone
8.x device

Your device is ready to be activated when you receive an activation email from your administrator. The activation email includes the information that you need to activate your device. If your activation password has already expired, try
BlackBerry UEM Self-Service
or contact your administrator.
  1. Install the
    BlackBerry UEM Client
    from the
    Windows Store
    .
  2. Open the
    UEM Client
    .
  3. Read and accept the license agreement.
  4. Type your work email address and tap
    next
    .
  5. If necessary, type the server address, and tap
    next
    .
  6. Type your activation password, and tap
    next
    .
  7. Confirm that the certificate details displayed on the device are accurate, and tap
    ok
    . If your administrator sent you the certificate details separately, you can compare the information displayed with the information you received.
  8. Tap
    copy and proceed
    to copy the server address information and proceed to the Workplace app.
  9. In the Workplace app, tap
    add account
    .
  10. Type your work email address and tap
    sign in
    .
  11. Paste the server address information that you copied and tap
    sign in
    .
  12. Tap
    continue
  13. Type your activation password and tap
    sign in
    .
  14. Tap
    done
    .
  15. Tap the back button on your device to return to the
    UEM Client
    .
    The activation completes automatically.
To verify that the activation process completed successfully, perform one of the following actions:
  • In the
    UEM Client
    , tap
    About
    . In the
    Activated Device
    section, verify that the device information and the activation time stamp are present.
  • In the
    BlackBerry UEM Self-Service
    console, verify that your device is listed as an activated device. It can take up to two minutes for the status to update after you activate the device.
