8.x deviceYour device is ready to be activated when you receive an activation email from your
administrator. The activation email includes the information that you need to activate
your device. If your activation password has already expired, try
BlackBerry UEM Self-Service
or contact your
administrator.- Install theBlackBerry UEM Clientfrom theWindows Store.
- Open theUEM Client.
- Read and accept the license agreement.
- Type your work email address and tapnext.
- If necessary, type the server address, and tapnext.
- Type your activation password, and tapnext.
- Confirm that the certificate details displayed on the device are accurate, and tapok. If your administrator sent you the certificate details separately, you can compare the information displayed with the information you received.
- Tapcopy and proceedto copy the server address information and proceed to the Workplace app.
- In the Workplace app, tapadd account.
- Type your work email address and tapsign in.
- Paste the server address information that you copied and tapsign in.
- Tapcontinue
- Type your activation password and tapsign in.
- Tapdone.
- Tap the back button on your device to return to theUEM Client.The activation completes automatically.
To
verify that the activation process completed successfully, perform one of the following
actions:
- In theUEM Client, tapAbout. In theActivated Devicesection, verify that the device information and the activation time stamp are present.
- In theBlackBerry UEM Self-Serviceconsole, verify that your device is listed as an activated device. It can take up to two minutes for the status to update after you activate the device.
