Enabling persistent chat

In preparation for
Microsoft
's transition to UCMA 6, a future release of
BEMS
 will incorporate UCMA 6 to maintain compatibility with
Skype for Business
 Subscription Edition (SE) using
BlackBerry Connect
. Support for UCMA 5 will be discontinued. Additionally, the persistent chat feature will be deprecated. Although the persistent chat will be deprecated, the functionality of the
BlackBerry Connect
 app will continue to function as expected without this feature.
The persistent chat feature allows users to create topic-based discussion rooms and participate in rooms. If you enable persistent chat in
Skype for Business
, you can enable it in your
BEMS
 environment.
