Configure storage alerts

For environments where BlackBerry Workspaces is hosted on a virtual appliance, you can configure Workspaces to send daily alert to administrators when the total organization storage is exceeded, or when an individual user has exceeded the configure storage threshold. Alerts are sent daily until the applicable threshold is no longer exceeded.

The alert can be sent to administrators and Super administrators.

  1. In the left pane, click Storage.
  2. To generate an alert when the total organization storage exceeds a certain threshold, select Send daily alert when storage exceeds a certain capacity threshold and do the following:
    1. In the Set capacity threshold field, type the percentage of your total storage for when you want to receive an alert about the storage size. (Appliance only).
    2. Select whether you send alerts to Super Admins, Admins, or both.
  3. To generate an alert when a user's storage exceeds a certain threshold, select Send storage reports on users that have reached a certain storage threshold and do the following:
    1. In the Set storage threshold field, type the amount of storage in GB for when you want to receive an alert about the storage used for each user.
    2. Select whether you send alerts to Super Admins, Admins, or both.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Click Apply to apply changes.
    • Click Apply and Generate Reports Now to apply the changes and generate and send the reports in near real time.
