Add a BlackBerry Hub+ account

You can add almost any email account to the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox, including your personal and work email accounts. The BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox also supports social accounts such as Facebook and X.

Depending on your email provider, you might have to manually set up your email account in the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox for POP3, IMAP, or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync email accounts. You might need to use manual setup if your email provider or administrator uses a specific email configuration. If you don't know what type of email account you have, contact your IT administrator.

Add an email account using quick setup

If you use a popular email provider like Gmail, Yahoo!, or Hotmail, you can add your email account to the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox quickly and easily.

  1. In the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox, tap Menu icon.
  2. Next to Accounts, tap Add icon.
  3. Tap Add a BlackBerry Hub+ account.
  4. Type your email address.
  5. Tap Next.
  6. Complete the instructions on the screen.

Add a POP3 or IMAP email account using manual setup

When you set up a POP3 or IMAP account, you must enter some server and configuration settings. To find the server and configuration settings that your email account uses, contact your email provider.

  1. In the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox, tap Menu icon.
  2. Next to Accounts, tap Add icon.
  3. Tap Add a BlackBerry Hub+ account.
  4. Type your email address.
  5. Tap Manual setup.
  6. Tap your email account type (POP3 or IMAP).
  7. On the Incoming server settings screen, specify your email account password, the email provider server address and port number, and select the appropriate security type.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. On the Outgoing server settings screen, specify your email provider's SMTP server address and port number, select the appropriate security type, and specify your email account password.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. On the Account settings screen, review or change any of the settings.
  12. Tap Next.
  13. Optionally, change the display name or display color for your email account.
  14. Tap Done.

Add a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync email account using manual setup

When you set up a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account, you must enter some server and configuration settings. To find the server and configuration settings that your email account uses, contact your email provider.

  1. In the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox, tap Menu icon.
  2. Next to Accounts, tap Add icon.
  3. Tap Add a BlackBerry Hub+ account.
  4. Type your email address.
  5. Tap Manual setup.
  6. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
  7. On the Server settings screen, specify your email account password, the email provider server address and port number, and select the appropriate security type.
  8. Tap Next.
  9. On the Account settings screen, review or change any of the settings.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. Optionally, change the display name or display color for your email account.
  12. Tap Done.
If you want to remove an email account from BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox, do the following:
  1. Tap the gear icon.
  2. In the Accounts & views section, tap Manage accounts.
  3. Tap the account that you want to remove.
  4. Tap Delete icon.
