- Delete an email
Delete an email
When you delete an email, it is moved to the Deleted items folder. It is not permanently deleted.
- Complete one of the following tasks:TaskStepsDelete an open message.Tap
.Delete a message in the message list.Swipe the message left or right and tap.Delete multiple messages in the message list.- Press and hold the first message to enable multi-select. If avatars are present, the avatar changes to a checkmark and the message is highlighted. If avatars are not present, the message is highlighted. Select additional messages.
- Tap.
- To permanently delete items, do the following:
- To view the Trash folder, tap
> Trash. - Select the items that you want to delete permanently.
- Tap > Delete.
