Behavior changes

Behavior changes are changes in existing functionality that you need to be aware of when upgrading to BlackBerry AtHoc mobile release 4.18.x. These changes require that you re-learn existing functionality.

4.18.4

  • Contact list on the Home screen: Mobile app users can now view a Contact Information section on the home screen, displaying up to 10 contacts configured by their administrator for the organization they're connected to. Each contact may include a title, description, phone numbers, email addresses, and a website URL. Users can tap a phone number, email address, or website to call, send an email, or open the site directly from the app.

Administrators configure the contact list at the suborganization level in Mobile App Settings > Customized Content. For more information, see "Contact List" in the BlackBerry AtHoc Mobile App Administrator Guide.

  • Scheduled location access interval: When creating or editing a scheduled location access rule, you can now select which enabled mobile app device the rule applies to (for example, Mobile App - Work or Mobile App - Personal). Location tracking runs only on the selected device. The Scheduled Location Access rules list now includes a Mobile App column showing the assigned device for each rule. Additionally, the minimum device movement required to maintain tracking has been reduced, and the tracking interval can now be set as short as 1 minute (previously 30 minutes), allowing more frequent location updates on the live map for more accurate tracking of mobile app users in the selected distribution list.
